About the Event
Join us for this highly anticipated event where we will be tasting Drouhin wines from France and Oregon side by side! Joseph Drouhin settled in Beaune France in 1880 and founded his own wine company. His aim was to offer wines of great quality that would bear his name. Today the 4th generation is at the helm of Joseph Drouhin Domaine which spans across France with over 80 hectares of vineyard space. Robert Drouhin first visited Oregon in 1961 before vineyards were planted in the Willamette Valley. Robert continued to be intrigued with New World wines from Oregon and in 1986 Robert's daughter Veronique traveled to Oregon and worked the harvest with three founding families of Oregon wine. In 1987 Robert purchased an exceptional piece of land in the Dundee Hills and planted Dijon clones from Burgundy. For more than 30 years now, the Drouhin Family has brought a wealth of hard-earned experience to their vineyards in the Willamette Valley. Cheese and charcuterie will be offered to accompany the wine selection.
