About the event
Join us as we explore Domaine de la Solitude, a renowned wine estate belonging to one of the oldest families of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with roots dating back to the 15th century. In the 18th century, La Solitude created the first label for the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. “Le Vin de la Solitude” quickly became a symbol of quality and was exported beyond the region, helping to establish the reputation of this exceptional terroir. Eight generations later, the estate remains family-owned and is now run by Florent Lançon, continuing a long-standing tradition of excellence.
The estate is divided into 33 parcels totaling 37 hectares, all organically farmed and spread across two areas: 33 hectares surrounding the estate and 4 hectares located in the northern part of the AOC. The vineyards span a diverse landscape, from the high terraces near the Rhône River down into the valley, offering a rich variety of soils and exposures.
