Special Event- Tuscany and its Regions

Join us as we explore the diverse and historic wine regions of Tuscany with special guest speaker Kate Cassidy of Dalla Terra Imports.

Tuscany is arguably Italy’s most famous wine region, renowned as the birthplace of iconic wines such as Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino. At the heart of Tuscan winemaking is Sangiovese, Italy’s most widely planted grape varietal, which accounts for roughly two-thirds of all vines in the region.

Beyond Sangiovese, Tuscany remains predominantly red-wine focused, with increasing plantings of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. White grape varieties are far less common and are primarily limited to Trebbiano, Vernaccia, and Vermentino.

During this guided tasting, we will focus on the red wines of Tuscany, featuring selections from Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, Maremma, and several smaller historic appellations. Cheese and charcuterie will be served to accompany the wine selection.
